About This Artwork

'The bee and the storm' is part of my 2025 dreamscapes series. It's inspired by my triple exposure photographs of the wildlife and landscapes along the beautiful Brunswick River at dusk.

In this piece, a native bee clings to fluffy pink muhly grass as storm clouds gather in the distance. The soft grasses create an ethereal mood, but the solitary bee in the gathering storm hints at a deeper narrative.
