'Keeper of Dreams' is an encaustic and cold wax original, created by burning layers of molten wax and resin onto a cradled wooden tonda, which is then carved with cold wax. The process combines ancient and modern techniques, forming an ethereal image that is highly tactile, like velvet.
Dragonflies symbolize renewal and change. They're associated with good luck, spiritual awakening and connection to the higher self. We all need dragonflies in our lives!
Circles represent the interconnectedness of all things and the absence of boundaries and limitations.

This original encaustic painting is created using the ancient Greek technique of burning layers of beeswax and pigments into wood using a live flame. The result is a luminous, archival-quality artwork with incredible depth and texture.
Each piece is completely unique - slight variations in wax texture and color distribution are part of the organic nature of the encaustic process.

Process:
Multiple layers of tinted molten wax are applied and fused using heat. Each layer becomes permanently bonded to the one below, creating depth and translucency. The edges are burnished with antique gold, eliminating the need for framing.
Archival Quality: Encaustic is one of the most stable art mediums. The wax is impervious to moisture and doesn't oxidize like oil paint. Colors remain vibrant indefinitely.
